I'm Still here..!!

Yes..!! I know that I do not update my blog constantly. Apologies... Was caught up with a rather tight schedule.Will be on track from now..!!

Also, I've thought of starting a "Book Update" section, trying to share my favorite book as and when I come across one... Keep looking out for this space for the update..

Thank you Sachin…

The end of a glorious era came to an end on November 16, 2013! The God Of Cricket retired… 

 

His style of batting, his straight drives and his mere presence on the field will be thoroughly missed!! Children start to play Cricket with the idea of being ‘Sachin Tendulkar’. I have no idea how Cricket will be after Sachin… I will not get into his statistics and records since it’s HUMUNGOUS and outstanding!! As my father said, it would take generations to break his record and Sachin himself will not be able to break his record. 

Always called as the God of Cricket and Master Blaster, he is also a superb human being! The way he dedicates his centuries or records, by looking up, is simply beautiful! The fan following he has is just brilliant! I still remember my Grandmother praying to God so that Sachin doesn’t become Out!! That’s how much we love him!  

His retirement speech and the way, for the last time, he walked to the pitch, touched it and walked back to the green-room with tears, made me cry! Showing respect to the 22 yards that made him “Sachin Tendulkar” was a wonderful gesture! 

Indeed, a man of such humbleness, status and ‘records’ will always be cherished and remembered! Yet again, Cricket without Sachin is new to all of us…

The Angel of my life…

I knew her for about 2 months. She was my friend’s sister. She was the sweetest person I ever knew, the person who is so generous and cares ‘so’ much that you would wish to be with her for a long time. I loved talking to her, we spoke on simple things, on life, and she made me view things differently. 

2 days before my Class 12 examination, my friend called me and informed me about her accident. The news shattered me. The person I wished to have along with me the entire life was no more! The incident shook my world. It took me days to let reality sink in…

She came into my life and taught me so many things. I still ask her to guide me. She had promised me that she would meet me at the end of my exams…  God’s plans are never known. Indeed!

They say ‘life moves on’. It did, but at the slowest rate possible. Not a day goes by without thinking about her. It has been 3 years and 7 months and still I shudder at the sound of an ambulance.

Sometimes I hope it was all a dream and that I would find her online… 

It's Navratri time!!

Time to celebrate, time to get cherish, time to meet people, time for Carnatic songs, time for traditions..!! :)
Oh and yes, it's also time for the variety of yummmmyyy sundal-s...
