The Angel of my life…

I knew her for about 2 months. She was my friend’s sister. She was the sweetest person I ever knew, the person who is so generous and cares ‘so’ much that you would wish to be with her for a long time. I loved talking to her, we spoke on simple things, on life, and she made me view things differently.

2 days before my Class 12 examination, my friend called me and informed me about her accident. The news shattered me. The person I wished to have along with me the entire life was no more! The incident shook my world. It took me days to let reality sink in…

She came into my life and taught me so many things. I still ask her to guide me. She had promised me that she would meet me at the end of my exams…  God’s plans are never known. Indeed!

They say ‘life moves on’. It did, but at the slowest rate possible. Not a day goes by without thinking about her. It has been 3 years and 7 months and still I shudder at the sound of an ambulance.

Sometimes I hope it was all a dream and that I would find her online…

The little things in life...

Hello everybody..! I know it has been ages since I updated my blog. I was so caught up with assignments and stuff that I couldn’t write down a lot of things that kept crossing my mind in these 2 months. :(

Being so busy and tied up with work all the time made me realize that we keep running to get ahead in life, to make ourselves better than others, to compete and to excel in everything, that we miss out on the little things in life. Right from the time we wake up till the time we go back to bed completing the circle of our chores in a day, we tend to miss out or ignore the small things that would give us real happiness…

In our busy schedule, try to make some time for absolute randomness. Call your close friend, talk about something, talk about nothing… enjoy a cup of tea just by yourself, with no thoughts crossing your mind… have an ice cream in the rain(my personal favorite)… give a nice tight hug to your parents… talk to a dog or cat (it’s equally fun)!!

It indeed works! It would bring a smile across your face in a day that is going bad.

Appreciate the little things in life as they only make way to better memories…:)
